Massage Therapy

INSYNC SPA

•   Deep Tissue/ Therapeutic Massage

Focuses on deeper layers of muscle tissue. Using long deep strokes and cross fibre friction techniques to help release adhesions and break down scar tissue. Great for relieving postural stress, pain, reducing muscle tension and improving flexibility.

•    Sports Massage

Deep strokes break down adhesions in the muscles and flushing stokes are used to help the body eliminate the build-up of lactic acid more efficiently. Sports massage can make training easier, improve flexibility, help you avoid injury and recover faster.

•    Swedish/Relaxation Massage

Involves using long, slow, flowing strokes, that slow the heart rate and induce a feeling of deep relaxation in the body. By releasing those feel-good hormones, it helps to lower stress, relieve anxiety and depression and boost your immune system.

•    Pregnancy Massage

A gentle, nurturing and calming massage for the mum to be. Releasing muscle tension, relieving discomfort and pain - helping you feel more relaxed, more comfortable and sleep better before baby arrives.

•    Neurostructural Integration Technique- NST

A gentle technique, it aims to remove pain and dysfunction by gently helping every muscle move into its correct position. By doing so, it restores the structural integrity of the body and helps the other bodily systems get into balance. It involves light, systematic moves that release tension, stimulating the neuromuscular system - helping you move freely. NST is great for reducing lower and upper back pain and neck pain.

•    Myofascial Release

Focuses on releasing and stretching the fascia (connective tissue) and has been described as making your whole-body sigh with relief! It helps your whole-body function better, relieving headaches and sore muscles, and promotes healing.

•    Trigger Point Release

Concentrated finger pressure to relieve ‘knotted’ muscles, muscle spasm and referred pain. Trigger point therapy is used as part of neuromuscular therapy, though it was developed as a stand-alone treatment.

•    Neuromuscular Therapy

Soft tissue manipulation that reduces chronic pain. A holistic approach in treating nerve compression, postural issues, circulation and problems caused by repetitive movement. The important philosophy behind NMT is - ‘to treat the whole person’.

•    Dry Needling

Dry needling, also known as myofascial trigger point dry needling, is a technique similar to acupuncture. It helps release tension in muscles, providing therapeutic pain relief.

•    Reiki

A gentle hands-on therapy that helps stimulate energy flow and promotes harmony and self-healing.  An excellent therapy to receive in times of high-stress and emotional upset. It is gentle and deeply relaxing and can be effective in helping to balance the body, physically, mentally and emotionally. Reiki can also work as a very gentle form of pain relief. It complements other treatments for both acute and chronic conditions and can benefit greatly those receiving palliative care.

Cancellation Policy:

In order to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honoured:

24-hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment.

If you are unable to give 24 hours notice, you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.

No-shows

Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a 'no show' and charged for the missed appointment.

Late arrivals

If you arrive late, your treatment may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Your therapist will determine whether there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment, you will be responsible for the full booked session.
